TMAstrology for Sagittarius New Moon

TMAstrology for the Sagittarius New Moon (Tues, Nov 29): Venus, goddess of love and money is in the "what's in it for me?" sign of Capricorn at this New Moon, and in difficult aspect with rebel Uranus in the war sign of Aries. This is classic "fighting over love or money (resources)" pattern. If we don't have anyone to fight over lover or money with, eh, call one of the dating services and tell 'em you need someone to argue spending with. They'll hook you up pronto. (Might mention you need someone whose Venus opposes your Saturn, that'll cause money trouble easy). Other advice for this New Moon period (which will extend at least a couple/few days after the New Moon) is REMEMBER TO BEGIN NOTHING ON A NEW MOON unless we wish it to remain a secret. (That for today/tomorrow only). The paranoid among us, here's your sign.

Fro-Sat Nov 18-19 Equine Astrology Tip of the Day

Equine Astrology Tip of the Day for FRI & SAT, Nov 18-19: A kelpie is a water spirit that lives in the lochs of Scotland, and most often appears in the form of a horse. These trickster spirits entice unwary humans, esp. children, to climb on their backs--from whence you will be unable to dismount. The kelpie will then drown and eat you. (Kinda puts any bad manners your horse has in perspective, doesn't it?). In shades of Lord of the Rings meets the Wolfman, the only way to escape from a kelpie is to shoot it with a silver bullet, or cut off your ring finger and throw it in the water. It's thought that the Loch Ness Monster was originally a large kelpie. Kelpies are mythological but it might be wise to avoid riding too near water today as Neptune, god of the Ocean, myth, and getting lost stations direct today, making Neptunian themes more powerful. If riding in unknown territory (not recommended at this time) take a map, compass, and horse that does not show overt fondness for deep water.

TMAstrology Word of the Week

TMAstrology Word of the Week is SEDUCTION. From Latin, "to lead astray:" se-aside, away, astray + ducere, to lead. The week gets off to an emotionally obsessive bang with today's Full Moon in Scorpio. This pits Sun in Taurus against Moon in Scorpio. This complex axis is about many things, but one of the primary is temptation: a test of our ability to choose good over evil. My advice? Skip eating apples this week. Too problematic a history.

Full Moon Monday, Nov 14 Equine Astrology TOD

Equine Astrology Tip of the Day for MONDAY, Nov 14: In horsey parlance, a "war mare," is a bad ass horse who can do anything her rider asks without drama or complaint and keep coming back for more. As this full moon represents a "personal survival adventure," best be mounted on our war mares. Unless your horse is like mine, in which case just riding the thing is sort of a personal survival adventure on its own.

TMAstrology for MONDAY, Nov 14 Full Moon

TMAstrology for MONDAY, Nov 14th. News of the day is that big old super Moon, and its effects in three words are "Personal Survival Adventure." This one might last four years. On the upside, we've astrological permission to go out of our way to avoid problematic people and situations tomorrow, and just stay home watching uplifting videos. Like this one from Capricorn Kate McKinnon--WOW--knew she was a great actress, but what a singer. AND she plays piano (and several other instruments). No one gets it done like a Cappy.

Trump triggers the Curse

"Mr. Trump still ...muses about all the ways he will punish his enemies after Election Day, including a threat to fund a "Super pac" with vengeance as its core mission." ... As you know, I've long predicted a Clinton victory. But I'm offering another prediction: with early results still hours away, I believe Hillary will win in a landslide. Trump has likely triggered the "curse" of his chart. He was born with the great royal star Regulus rising. There are only four stars in the sky deemed "royal"--because when strong in a chart, they seem to offer favor and protection, often in great degree. Regulus, alpha Leo, Cor Leonis (the heart of the Lion) is "most royal" of the four. At the very least, it offers protection from want. At best it offers "Great honor and wealth," as well rise and connection to people of power. The star is considered strong and hot in nature, and creates people who are the same. As a star in Leo, one of its downfalls is excessive pride, but that's not the problem. You see, the Royal stars offer great gifts, but along with the gifts come a curse. Avoid actions that trigger the curse, and all will be well. With Regulus the curse is vengeance, which we must never indulge or ... "greatness and power shall at last suffer an eclipse and set in a cloud." [Robson]. Also, "the higher this star takes a person, the more they must guard against revenge." [Brady]. Trump's wish for vengeance is a dish he should've eaten cold ... and very, very privately.

UPDATE: In this case should've stuck with tried and true method of flipping a coin ...

WED, Nov 2 Equine Astrology TOD

Equine Astrology Tip of the Day for WED, Nov 2: Stars say we're questioning the value of the attachments in our lives today horse lovers. Even so, I don't expect many of us to decide it's the horse expenses that have to go. Even if we no longer ride them. My retirees spend some of their leisure time entertaining the kiddies. Many young families around here come down to let their kids pet the horses over the fence, and give them apples or what not. I've been mulling putting in one of those "put in a quarter, get a handful of grain" dispensers you see at petting zoos. Solve the problem of feeding the horses and paying for that feed in one swoop.

TMAstrology for WED, Nov 2

TMAstrology for WED, Nov 2: One of the most frequent questions an astrologer gets is, "How much should I invest in this relationship?" My reply? "That depends. While love is free, lust will cost you everything you have." Tomorrow's aspects have us questioning the value of our attachments. My advice? Keep them. Hard to vacuum those tight corners without 'em.

TMAstrology Word of the Week, Oct 30-Nov 5

TMAstrology Word of the Week: RELIEF. From Latin "relevare: to raise again," thence to Old French "relever: to raise up," we get today's English meaning, "to alleviate." That which removes so we feel like we can get back up again. It's also why "relief" functions to describe the artistic sculpture or design raised above a flat surface. ASTROLOGICALLY, we choose this word because this week's aspects are much milder than last week's dynamic drama driving patterns! Whew. We can come out of our closets now: people have stopped throwing rocks. Mostly.
